// About Workskills
Workskills (Essex) was established in 2002 with the remit to help the disabled and disadvantaged people in Essex to access work and education.
It has developed into an effective 'pan-impairment' partnership
where the 18 member organisations all work to deliver a variety of services
to help the disabled and disadvantaged people of Essex. Indeed, 45% of the
workskills (Essex) board themselves have a disability.
The focus of the operations of our partners is on empowering disabled people themselves to address the significant disadvantages they face when accessing training and employment opportunities non-disabled people take for granted.
Within the partnership we incorporate the experience and expertise, that has been developed by our partners over many years’ within their specialised fields, in order to provide an effective means of addressing the needs and wishes of people with disabilities across Essex.
Between us, we strive to make a real difference to the disabled and disadvantaged people of Essex.
